One thing I have said for a few years now regarding the KJV and other bible translations is that other translations of the bible in English remove the word cross references and destroy truth that is revealed in the KJV. While there are countless examples of this phenomena, I thought I would give one example on this post.
2 Samuel 18:18 in the KJV says,
18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king’s dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom’s place.
Acts 1:25 in the KJV says,
25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
Cross referencing (comparing scripture with scripture) the word, “place” shows that Absalom and Judas are connected in some way. You will find in a closer study that Absalom is a type of the AntiChrist to come and that Judas is intimately connected to the AntiChrist to come. Absalom’s name means father of peace. Both he and Judas die hung on a tree and they both go to their own place.
Below, I have how these two verses are translated in other English versions and how the cross reference is removed.
18 Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself the pillar, which is in the king’s dale; for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name; and it is called Absalom’s monument, unto this day.

23-26 They nominated two: Joseph Barsabbas, nicknamed Justus, and Matthias. Then they prayed, “You, O God, know every one of us inside and out. Make plain which of these two men you choose to take the place in this ministry and leadership that Judas threw away in order to go his own way.” They then drew straws. Matthias won and was counted in with the eleven apostles.
25 to occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”

As you can see above, the cross reference is removed from every new version of the bible including the NKJV. The highest level of revealed truth is in the King’s English translation of the Bible, the KJV.
